Technology – Motus AX
At Laser Expert, we work with the Motus AX laser. It is an Alexandrite laser with a wavelength of 755 nm, which has high absorption in melanin, which is crucial in laser hair removal treatments. It features state-of-the-art Moveo technology, based on simple, rapid movements performed on treatment areas using a 20mm sapphire tip. Operating in Moveo mode causes gradual heating, leading to the destruction of hair in a painless and safe manner for the patient. The comfort of the treatment is also influenced by the integrated contact skin cooling system. The sapphire tip is cooled to 15°C.
When can I safely proceed with the treatment?
Laser hair removal treatment is completely safe in the absence of contraindications to its performance. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the list below. Contraindications to the treatment

- fresh tan in the area of hair removal, use of self-tanners, visits to a solarium – it is forbidden 4 weeks before the treatment
- taking medicines, photosensitizing herbs, e.g. St. John’s wort, field horsetail, calendula, chamomile, some slimming teas – it is necessary to keep min. 2 weeks break
- taking painkillers
- depilation with wax, tweezers, sugar paste, depilatories up to 4 weeks before the treatment
- treatment with topical retinoids. There should be a break of 3 months from the end of treatment
- oral retinoid therapy requires a six-month break between the end of treatment and the first treatment.
- use of creams or ointments with vitamin A, retinoids (e.g. Isotrexin, Differin, Zorac, etc.)
- use of vitamin C and fruit or chemical acids in the place of the epilated area. A break of 1 month should be kept
What does a laser hair removal treatment look like?
1. Before treatment
- 6 weeks before the treatment give up waxing, sugar paste, depilatories and tweezers.
- 4 weeks before laser hair removal do not tan your skin in the sun or a tanning bed, do not use self-tanners either.
- 2 weeks before the treatment do not peel the area where the treatment will be performed.
- Immediately before the treatment shave your hair with a disposable razor and do not apply any cosmetics on your skin.
- Make an appointment for a free consultation in order to eliminate possible contraindications.
2. During the procedure
- The cosmetologist prepares the skin by removing the remaining hair with a disposable razor.
- She disinfects the skin.
- Using a white crayon, he draws the appropriate sized sections to precisely perform the treatment.
- Thoroughly disinfected head cools the treatment area and proceeds to deposit the appropriate amount of energy.
- During the procedure both the cosmetologist and the client are wearing protective glasses.
- After the treatment the cosmetologist applies a soothing product to the skin.
3. After treatment
- Do not rub or irritate your skin.
- Use cosmetics with a soothing effect.
- Avoid activities that raise body temperature.
- Absolutely avoid sun exposure and tanning beds (4 weeks).
- No scrubs (2 weeks)
- Do not use creams with vitamin A, C, fruit acids.
- Regrowing hair should be removed with a disposable razor.
- Another treatment should be performed at the interval of 6-10 weeks.
